I need to know for when I work my way up to ProSculpt. I'm still learning with a "lesser" brand(other folks have great success so maybe I'm just daft). Anyway how long would a hollow armature made of paper pulp and glue(basically plastic once cured) hold up? Thanks in advance for your opinions and putting up with me.

I have no knowledge about paper pulp and glue. If I was told to guess, I would say it would last until the next very humid day. If it stays dry and is kept in a dry climate it should last for a long time. Let me know if I can help you in any other way. Good luck, Jack

Thank you for the eureka that just went off in my head. Heating water to very hot right now and will test hot/humid conditions with steam(good thing I didn't chuck the leftover mixture :)). Ooh if this works out, I was thinking I could try the preemie kit. I'm sorry to be such a pain. But do you get a choice of hair/eye colors with the kits? It's just that I was a preemie with auburn hair and brown eyes, and it would make a perfect birthday gift for my mother.

try sculpy light for the armature. It is the lightest weight material. it bakes hard in your oven so that you can work on it right away. no waiting. I can use some tin foil under it if you want to over your armature dowel.for larger dolls I cover the armature with tin foil wrapper tight then fill it out with sculpty light. works like a dream hopw this helps patricia
