Belznickle is the Pennsylvania Dutch "Father Christmas" but with a twist. The Belznickle brought candy and gifts for the children but also brought switches for the parents to punish the children when needed. The PA Dutch men are not allowed to grow a beard until they marry and are never allowed to have a mustache - it is considered vain.

I admire the work Mr. Cosby has done over the years to promote education and felt that he had a wonderful face to sculpt in this medium. Everyone thinks of him as a comedian so I used the wagon to represent the fun side of Mr. Cosby while retaining the more fatherly image with the choice of clothing. SOLD!
