Below are a variety of brushes, china paint powder for adding those finishing touches to an artdoll.

The mop blusher brush is used to put powder on the face and hands of the cured doll. This brush is used dry.

The flat bristle brush is a great all around brush used for painting a thin wash over the face or shoes.

The detail brush is just what it sounds like, a detailer. It is used for painting around the eyes and mouth.

Eyebrow brush (long) imageEyebrow brush (long)
The eyebrow brush is long and thin, it is perfect for painting the eyebrows. This is the only brush you will be comfortable with in painting the brow.

The full brush kit includes the Mop, three sized detailers, and the eyebrow brush. Purchasing all of the brushes as a kit is a great savings.

The sanding kit includes three grits from very fine to medium. The pads are washable and re-usable. These are the pads that are used by professional doll makers to get a perfect surface.

If you make a mistake while painting the face you can take the paint off with the "wipeout" tool dipped in water.

Rose light cheek blush
China paint powder in a Rose color is used for the cheeks of the doll. We use this powder dry, so you do not need to mix it with anything, just brush it on and forget it.

China paint powder in a darker color for painted ladies and Santa Claus. This color is too dark for a child or baby. As we do not mix oil or water with this powder, the color you see in the container is the same color you will be applying to the doll.

China paint powder in dark brown is used for the older men and women. Jack uses the light brown for younger children and the darker brown for older people and scary characters. You may see the colors used on the red headed violinist in the "Gallery" section of this web site.

China paint powder works best on younger children and beautiful ladies. It isn't dark enough for an old timer. As I mentioned above you may see these colors used on many of the dolls in the "Gallery" section of this web site. China paint powder will last for years, therefore one bottle is likely all you need.
